Kellerhals Carrard advises on sale of Sherpany

Datasite, a leading US-based SaaS platform that is used by enterprises globally to execute complex mission-critical projects, announced that it has acquired Sherpany, a Zurich-based board reporting and meeting management software provider. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2024, subject to closing conditions. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The acquisition expands Datasite’s presence in the region and extends its product suite with advanced functionality that facilitates board collaboration and meeting management, further enhancing organizational productivity and adding significant value for its customers.

Kellerhals Carrard was the lead counsel to Sherpany on this transaction. The Kellerhals Carrard team comprised of Karim Maizar (pictured) (M&A/VC), Marc Hanslin (M&A/VC), Michèle Remund (M&A/Tax), Daniel Emch (Anti-Trust), Vanessa Witschi (Tax) as well as Norbert Schenk, Umberto Milano, Sebastian Müller, Aljoscha Zalad, Jan Bläuer and Joël Götti (all M&A/VC). Macquarie Capital acted as M&A advisor to Sherpany on this transaction.

“For many years now, Kellerhals Carrard has been Sherpany’s legal partner. To have this great team on board was especially crucial to the success of this transaction. The trusting and motivating teamwork helped us to face the long nights, many mark-ups, and hundreds of pages with humor and to bring the transaction to a successful signing. A big thank you to the whole team.”, says Nicole Herzog, Chairwoman of Sherpany.
