Lenz & Staehelin advises IMC on the acquisition of Tensor Technologies

IMC, a global leader in market making, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the business of Tensor Technologies, a developer of trading software and algorithms, located in Zug, Switzerland. The transaction closed in December 2022.

The newly formed team will be operating as IMC Zug from the existing office and address. Zug is a crypto and commodity hub in Switzerland named CryptoValley.

Lenz & Staehelin has acted as legal advisor to IMC on this transaction. The team included partners Stephan Erni (corporate and m&a, pictured), Patrick Schleiffer, Patrick Schärli (both regulatory) and Peter Ling (IP) as well as Stephan Brandner (tax), Xavier Grivel and Louis Probst (both corporate and m&a).
