MLL representation of a subcontractor before the Zurich Commercial Court 

MLL successfully represented an Icelandic subcontractor before the Commercial Court of the Canton of Zurich. 

The dispute related to the construction of a Si-Metal construction plant in Iceland, for which the subcontractor had provided certain works. The contractor claimed back part of the remuneration already paid, alleging that the subcontractor had been overpaid as a result of a wrong application of the currency exchange modalities agreed in the contract. The Commercial Court dismissed the contractor’s claim in full, and in turn granted the subcontractor’s counterclaim for payment of unpaid invoices.
