Schellenberg Wittmer advises shareholders on the sale of Metaco

Schellenberg Wittmer advised on the sale of Metaco, a Swiss-based provider of digital asset custody and tokenization technology, to Ripple.

Ripple, the leader in enterprise blockchain and crypto solutions, serves hundreds of customers in over 55 countries and 6 continents with payout capabilities in more than 70 markets. With this acquisition of Metaco in a transaction valued at USD 250 million, Ripple adds institutional digital asset custody capabilities to its products solutions.

The team of Schellenberg Wittmer acted as Swiss legal counsel to the shareholders of Metaco.
