Baker McKenzie advises Artum on its acquisition by Storskogen
Baker McKenzie acted as legal counsel to Artum, the Swiss industrial holding company, on the sale of 100% of their shares to Storskogen, a Swedish privately owned company that acquires and operates well-managed and profitable businesses with leading positions in their respective markets.
The Baker McKenzie team advising Artum was led by, on the Swiss side, Martin Frey (partner, transactions/m&a, pictured), and it consisted of Kevin Ardüser (associate, transactions/m&a) and Estelle Mathis (junior lawyer, transactions), as well as Anna Orlander (partner, transactions/m&a) on the Swedish side.
As a result of this transaction, Artum comprising 15 operating companies and 490 employees, will become a part of the Storskogen Group as a subsidiary of Storskogen Schweiz. The framework of this new partnership will combine and further strengthen the ambition to grow and to be one of the long-term owners of small and medium-sized companies in Switzerland and Germany.
