Thomas Nagel joins Advoro

Thomas Nagel joins Advoro from Walder Wyss. Thomas Nagel has many years of experience in financial market, corporate and general commercial law. His area of expertise is money laundering law, on which he wrote his doctoral thesis and a number of practice-relevant publications in professional journals. As a sideline, he is a lecturer at the Fernfachhochschule Schweiz (FFHS) in the areas of compliance and corporate governance.

Nagel assists companies in the financial sector with regulatory issues in connection with authorisation and enforcement proceedings before authorities and self-regulatory organisations, with the drafting of contracts and with strategic decisions.

Before joining Advoro, Thomas Nagel worked for four years as a lawyer at Walder Wyss in Zurich, were he was senior associate. He gained further professional experience at the bilingual regional court of Bernese Jura-Seeland, in law firms in Bern, Zurich and St. Gallen and in the legal department of the auditing company PwC in Zurich. Thomas Nagel worked as a secondee in the legal department of a bank in Zurich. His clients therefore benefit from the fact that he knows their perspective and their challenges from personal experience.
