Tobias F. Rohner new partner at VISCHER
Tobias F. Rohner has joined VISCHER as a partner on 1 February 2023 strengthening the tax team. As a partner in the Zurich office he is co-head of the tax team.
With more than 20 years of experience as a tax lawyer, Rohner has excellent expertise in advising international and domestic companies, start-ups, fund and trust structures and high net worth individuals. He advises them in connection with immigration, business set-up, implementation of employee benefit plans, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, tax audits and succession planning. He also regularly represents clients before the authorities and courts in contentious tax matters.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Tobias F. Rohner has been a lecturer in tax law at both the University of Zurich and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) for many years, where he is able to pass on his experience and know-how to students. He also regularly serves as a substitute judge at the Zurich Tax Appeals Court.
Prior to this he was partner at Baker & McKenzie and he is also non-executive member of the Board of Directors at MMG Swiss Finance, among others.
